FAQ

  • Why should I preserve my flowers?

You’ve made it all the way to Cabo and had the wedding of your dreams! Don’t leave any memories behind because you can’t bring your LIVE bouquet home with you. This is a way to ensure you have a keepsake of your wedding flowers rather than throwing them away the next day. This is the only way you will be able to have your flowers from Cabo! Invest in preserving every last detail!

  • Will you use my whole bouquet?

Depending on the size of the mold and the wear of the flowers, I will not be preserving your whole bouquet but creating a one-of-a-kind piece to represent your wedding florals. Flowers will react differently to the preservation process and it’s important to have as many as I can to work with. Feel free to provide bridesmaid bouquets or center pieces to work with as well. We can also preserve pieces for your bridal party & family using the additional flowers.

  • Can all flowers be preserved?

Flowers and plants with a high water content are extremely difficult to preserve. Some examples are anthuriums, succulents, and some orchids. There are ways to still incorporate these by adding artificial replicas.

Using Silica to dry the flowers will work to keep as much color and shape to your flowers, however, there will be variations and they will never look exactly how they did on your wedding day. Some things you can expect are reds to go darker, whites to go towards a more beige or cream, and for greenery to turn a lighter shade or even go brown.

If you have any questions about the flowers in your bouquet and how they will preserve, please feel free to reach out and ask!

  • Will I be able to take the finished piece back home with me?

There is a lengthy process to preserving your flowers in resin and due to this it can take anywhere from 10-20 weeks to receive your one-of-a-kind personal resin keepsake. Shipping costs will vary based on each piece and destination it is going to, but an estimate will be given at the time of the initial invoice.

  • How do I care for my piece?

Resin is a plastic that will naturally yellow over time and there is no way around that. I use his high quality UV resistance resin to help in this preservation process. Keeping the piece out of direct sun and in a cool environment is recommended.

  • About the artist...

My name is Irish and I have been apart of the Cabo community most of my life. My dad owned a restaurant here since the late 80’s that my husband and I now own. I have been a wedding photographer for over 15 years and love the vibe of Cabo destination weddings. Our brides were frustrated that they couldn’t take their flowers back home with them and I knew that resin preservation was the perfect way to get your flowers home with you. I am so excited to preserve your flowers for you to keep forever! You can see more of my photos on instagram @irishandcameron and of couse more of my resin work @floresdeloscabos
